The brief

A family wanted a home that disappeared into its ridgeline — not a statement, but a quiet container for daily life that followed the sun from morning to dusk.

The approach

We let the architecture lead. Rooms were arranged along the ridge so the living spaces catch the long afternoon light and the bedrooms wake gently to the east.

Walls were finished in hand-troweled lime plaster; floors in wide, aged oak. Furniture is low and grounded, leaving the eye free to travel out to the landscape.

Nothing competes. The palette is tonal and the materials are honest, so the house reads as one continuous, calm gesture.

Materials & palette

Lime plaster, aged oak, honed limestone, raw linen and a single note of deep green — repeated, never crowded.
